Stephen’s Heartfelt Memories of Lindy

Lindy and I met in February 1972, we went on a date that lasted 52 years. We were blessed with 3 healthy children, Louise, Sarah and James. In 1994 we started a business called ProActive Healthcare with Lindy looking after all the administration. Outside of home, family, church and  friends she had one passion.

Whether Showing, Breeding, Judging or giving Bichon Frise Dogs as a gift to special people, this was Lindy’s passion. Back in 1984 a friend gave us a little Bichon puppy, as a gift, we called him Chico. He was so wonderful Lindy was encouraged  to research this gay, happy and fun loving breed.

For over thirty years she got out of bed in the middle of the night and drove thousands of miles  to attend shows all over Ireland. For her, a great highlight was proudly winning her class at Crufts.

Through dog events she made many friends and she looked forward every year to meeting special people at various events to share ideas and learn new techniques, usually about dog grooming. In the summertime she looked forward to me travelling with her to Killarney where she enjoyed staying for a series of local shows over the week.

A chapter in our lives has closed but the wonderful memories she created for us, will live on in our hearts. Thank you Lindy, you were so loving, caring and very very special. x
